Scholarships to Canada

تعلن شركة كنديان نكسن بتروليوم يمن عن تقديم عشر منح اضافية لخريجي الثانوية العامة للدراسة في جامعة كالجاري ومعهد جنوب البيرتا في كندا. برنامج كنديان نكسن للمنح المقدم للطلاب المتفوقين الذي حقق نجاحا عالياً تم تأسيسه بمناسبة الذكرى العاشرة لكنديان نكسن بيتروليوم في اليمن. منذ بدء البرنامج وحتى هذا التأريخ منحت الشركة عدد 100 منحة لخريجي الثانوية العامة المؤهلين في اليمن. وهذا البرنامج الذي حقق نجاحا عاليا تم تمديده في اكتوبر2008 وذلك بتقديم 10 منح (عشر منح) إضافية من قبل لجنة منح كنديان نكسن للمؤهلين من خريجي الثانوية للحصول على درجة البكالوريوس في مدينة كالجاري في كندا.

Leadership Conference - Dearborn

By Adel Mozip Dearborn, MI: The American Association of Yemeni Scientists and Professionals (AAYSP) held their first ever leadership conference at the National Arab American Museum in Dearborn, MI on the 8th and 9th of November, 2008. Representatives from AAYSP's chapters in California, New York, Chicago, and Washington DC were present. The purpose of this conference was to reconstruct the vision, mission, values, goals, and objectives of the organization. In addition, the participants had an opportunity to take part in various leadership excercises, which concentrated on team building, communication skills, fundraising, motivation, and identifying different leadership traits.
